The recorder can not record any streams which do not open in Internet Explorer. Before copying the stream url into the recorder, it is important to first test that the stream is working by pressing "Play" on the website link. If the stream does not open or is silent, it is most likely because: 1.) The Internet Explorer pop-up blocker is preventing the stream from opening. You need to set Internet Explorer to allow pop-ups from that radio station's url. 2.) The station requires you to login to access the stream. If this is the case, create a username and password for that station, then select "Remember me" so that next time the stream is launched, it will open without needing to re-enter your user username and password. 3.) The stream link is broken. If this is the case, choose a stream from a different station. 4.) The station is not currently streaming.

Internet Radio : How many radio stations stream talk radio on the internet?

The FCC lists over 13,000 registered US radio stations and many of these stations stream their broadcast 24 hour a day. Most nationally syndicated talk radio shows such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Dr Laura, Michael Savage, Tom Joyner, Dennis Miller, and Neal Boortz are streamed live on the internet. Because radio stations operate in different time zones, some radio stations shift the broadcast time of these radio talk shows. Streamhog has compiled a database of these free online radio stations and their broadcast schedules so that internet radio listeners can hear to their favorite talk radio shows at different times during the day.
